Vintage reprint.
Detailed recreation of the classic 80s USN A-2 deck jacket with a hint of a punk-rock vision. The main focus was on producing as close to the original sartorial details as possible, almost like a reprint.

Recreated care label with washable paper, same material as original.

To produce same rib cuff as original, which is 1" 1x1 rib and 5/8" half cardigan that originally would have had different tension, I used knitting machine to knit the cuffs with similar yarns to exactly match the original.

Original A-2 jacket uses Scovill zippers that discontinued. I used ykk instead, and revived the cotton pull tap of same size and knot style of the original as seen on lightning archive magazine.

Armpit vent was not present in the A-1 deck jacket, and was added on detail only from A-2 updates. It was essential as the blanket lining had insufficient ventilation for a combat situation, causing odor and discomfort for the wearer.

Diamond shape patchwork, dense gingham check lining and pocket placement was modified in my reprinted A-2 deck jacket, everything else remains focused on reprint of the original.
